Meet the team
Nicky Serfontein
Nicky is the owner of Splashing Stars Swim School. He has 18 years of experience in swimming and swam competitively for 7 years. He swam for Namibia and came third in South Africa in his age group U15 and U16 for 50m breaststroke at the South African Junior Championships in the year 2000. He has been teaching children how to swim full-time for the past 10 years. He is a visionary, entrepreneur, and has a passion for teaching children how to swim and excel.
Tina Serfontein
Tina is co-owner of Splashing Stars Swim School and has been responsible for all the marketing and sponsorship efforts. She is an excellent communicator and is currently in the process of attaining her Level 1 SDIT Swimming Teaching Qualification. She is a qualified Aqua Zumba Instructor and has completed her First Aid Course. She has been working side by side with Nicky part-time on Saturdays as a Trainee Instructor. She is mostly involved in teaching Aqua Ultra Classes for Adults at Splashing Stars Swim School. She is a highly motivated individual, a creative thinker, and entrepreneur. A big plus is that she absolutely loves children!
Adele
Adele has been teaching children how to swim full-time for the past 5 years. Adele loves competing in marathons and triathlons. She has competed in the Comrades, Iron-Man and many other competitions. She is committed to seeing her swimmers excel and gently motivates, corrects, and teaches. Her passion for fitness and love for teaching kids how to swim is what drives her.

Our business is not a business. It is a space where we, our swimmers, the parents, grandparents, or friends of the family can enjoy spending time, and where there is a sense of camaraderie. We want to make sure that our business values and our ‘why’ (what drives us) becomes an extension and will have a positive affect on our swimmers, and our community. We believe that nothing that we do or achieve is out of our own strength, but that each day and each opportunity is a gift given to us from above.
